How We Got Here
Petunia was born out of firsthand experience: searching for Assisted Living for both parents, and then, after my Mom passed, for my Father, who is living with dementia.
Going through this process twice, across three different states, and touring many Communities in person, we gained something most families don't have time for: experience. We learned the industry jargon, came to understand the different types of Communities, and discovered that most existing resources weren't designed to give families real control. They were built to make money for the referrers. We learned that the hard way.
We saw an opportunity to flip the script: to create a solution that puts families in control of their own discovery and decision-making process. Because who is going to do better research for your parents than you?
